Infographic: Here’s How COVID-19 Impacted The Short-Term Rental Ecosystem in July and August 2020
Though uncertainty still remains in terms of when COVID-19 will be a distant memory, summertime has brought some promising numbers for the travel industry along with new booking trends.
The patterns we noticed a few weeks ago have continued on, namely last-minute cancellations, last-minute reservations and a notable number of bookings (finally) being made in major US metropolitan cities again for the first time since March.
This doesn’t come as as surprise based on the pent up demand for travel, restrictions gradually lifting in various areas worldwide and the ability to WFH/remotely, enabling guests to book longer stays than they might have pre-COVID for a summer getaway where they can work comfortably from a rental while enjoying a change of scenery.
Check out the main trends we noticed in July and August 2020 below.
