As a Billing Operations Specialist at Guesty, you will play a key role as the bridge between Finance, Customer Success, Sales, and Customer Experience. Your mission is to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of our global invoicing processes. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced SaaS environment and enjoys solving complex billing challenges while driving operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Billing & Invoice Accuracy

  • Manage end-to-end billing and invoicing processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely issuance to global customers
  • Validate billing outputs against contracts, subscriptions, and usage data to ensure correct revenue capture

Subscription & Revenue Integrity

  • Maintain and update customer subscription data in Zuora, ensuring alignment with commercial agreements
  • Support revenue accuracy by identifying and resolving discrepancies between systems (billing, CRM, contracts)

Reconciliation & Issue Resolution

  • Perform billing reconciliations and investigate variances across accounts, subscriptions, and invoices
  • Proactively identify billing errors and work with relevant teams to resolve root causes

Stakeholder Collaboration (Finance-Led)

  • Partner with Sales, Customer Success, and Finance teams to resolve billing and revenue-related issues
  • Provide clear, structured updates on billing status and adjustments

Customer Billing Support (Limited Scope)

  • Respond to customer billing inquiries where financial explanation or invoice clarification is required
  • Ensure accuracy and professionalism in all billing-related communications

Revenue Assurance Controls

  • Support the implementation of controls and checks to ensure all billable services are accurately captured
  • Assist in strengthening order-to-cash processes and billing governance

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline

Experience:

  • 1–2 years of experience in billing operations, accounting, AR, or finance operations
  • Experience in SaaS, shared services finance, or structured accounting environments is highly preferred

Technical Skills

  • Experience with billing or finance systems such as Zuora, Salesforce, or similar ERP/CRM tools
  • Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills (lookups, pivot tables, data validation)
  • Exposure to payment platforms such as Stripe is a plus

Accounting & Analytical Foundation

  • Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals, particularly accounts receivable, invoicing, and reconciliation
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify inconsistencies across financial data sets
  • Comfortable working with structured data and financial logic

Communication

  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to explain billing and financial concepts clearly to non-finance stakeholders
