INTO had been a Guesty user for just over a year, and though short-term property rental was initially a sideline for them, they realized they had an opportunity to collaborate with Guesty. Sparrow’s parent company Abode has been leveraging Guesty’s capabilities for eight years and after managing hundreds of listings and grappling with the inefficiencies of piecemeal solutions, decided to create a solution of their own. The team at Abode had encountered the challenge of managing thousands of reviews annually and had to do so manually, one review at a time. 

Using sheets and automation while logging into dozens of individual accounts and trying to harness vast amounts of feedback led to considerable labor costs and challenges in interpreting subjective data at scale. A Guesty user for 1.5 years, Botel says the platform has allowed them to grow and scale. They especially love Guesty’s ability to distribute properties across multiple OTAs and our Analytics tools, which allow them to see which properties are performing well and which need improvement.   

Botel’s Co- Founder, Can Koseoglu says their first experience in the world of STRs was in building an online travel agency for student accommodations called ErasmusInn, which reached 10,000 listings in 12 cities in Europe at one point. Through the creation of that startup, the founder understood that tech infrastructure was lacking and after their startup unfortunately failed, they took the opportunity to learn more about rental arbitrage (a real estate investment strategy that involves leasing one property and then renting it out to someone else).
